Mentor Graphics chairman/CEO to keynote Semicon West

Executives at Mentor Graphics Corp. in Wilsonville, Ore., revealed that Dr. Walden C. Rhines, the company's chairman and CEO, is presenting a keynote address at Semicon West 2009 in San Francisco. Semicon West 2009 opened its doors today, July 14, in San Francisco.

What: Presenting “World Semiconductor Dynamics: Myth vs. Reality”
When: Wednesday, July 15, 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM
Where: Novellus Theatre at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (across from Moscone Center)

In his keynote address, Rhines will explore some of the issues confronting the electronic design automation (EDA) industry in today’s tough economic environment. He also will present historical data and trends of the semiconductor industry, according to a company representative.
