Politics and FCS

With the current state of politics, the election, and a possible party change approaching how do you think this will impact landmark programs such as FCS and specifically the milaero market space?

Great question! I know that, prior to winning the democratic nomination, Senator Obama vowed to pull money out of such programs -- and he named FCS specifically. There is a video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRGru2CPC4E.

Maybe some programs that were abandoned because money was pulled from them for the war effort will return? I have had several programs close on me over the past 6 years because money was pulled from the program to fund other projects. I would love to see some of these really good programs get funding again. There was one program cut that would have enhanced aircraft for Airforce use, but because it was not deemed necessary to the war effort, the program was cut.
